Feed Our Vets Watertown Pantry received two honored guest this week, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Carolyn D. Fitzpatrick, Chairwoman, Jefferson County Board of Legislators. They were given a tour of the pantry by pantry directors Tonia Russell and Jeff Call.
U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is the junior United States Senator from New York. Previously, she served in the U.S House of Representatives, representing New York’s 20th congressional district.
In 2000 Carolyn Fitzpatrick was elected and became a member of the Jefferson County Board of Legislators and was first woman elected as Chair of the Board in 2010. She is the longest serving chair.
The Grand Opening of the new Feed Our Vets Watertown pantry is August 15, 2015. The Watertown distributes free food to Veterans and active duty military on third Saturday of each month from 9am to 12pm . The food is free and Veterans can choose the food they want and take away as much as they can carry.
